A fisherman is a person who earns his livelihood by catching and selling fish. Generally, a fisherman lives by the rivers, big canals, marshy lands, and seas for his professional advantages. A fisherman lives with his family. He usually gets up early in the morning and goes to the river and ponds to catch fishes. He works hard day and night catching fish in the river. He is always busy making his fishing nets, repairing them, taking care of his fishing boat, dying and painting them. He spends most of his time fishing in the river and in the sea. Sometimes he goes into the deep sea for fishing and his family becomes anxious about his safe return. He faces dangers. He has no radio set and motorboats. He can not listen to the weather warning. So he can not return to the shore safely. A fisherman leads a very poor life. A fisherman maintains his family with his poor income. He hardly has nets and boats of his own. When he hires a fishing net and boat he has to pay the big portion of income to the owner. With his little income, he spends his days roughly. When he does not go to catch fish he passes his days making and repairing his fishing net at home. He is not given loans on easy terms. His face beams with a smile when he catches a lot of fish. A fisherman does much good to us by supplying us with fish. A fisherman plays an important role like a farmer. The fishermen contribute to this economy greatly. But they often suffer from the risk of death in the river due to the lack of safety equipment. The government should provide sufficient security, economical support, and proper management in fishing activities.
