King Solomon was famous for his wisdom (বুদ্ধি). He was considered then as one of the greatest
wise kings. His reign (রাজত্ব) was marked by his prudent (বিচক্ষণ) judgement and wise approaches
to the world and its people. The entire kingdom was blessed by such a great emperor (সম্রাট).
The people were happy in his kingdom. Queen Sheba came to know about King Solomon. She
was not only beautiful but also an intelligent lady. She was curious to a great extent (বড় পরিমাণে)
to test the wisdom of King Solomon.
One day, Queen Sheba came to the palace of King Solomon. She carried two beautiful garlands (মালা) of roses with her. She wished to give King Solomon the garlands as pleasant gifts. King
Solomon welcomed Queen Sheba. It was a large hall where King Solomon welcomed Queen
Sheba. The queen placed two garlands in the middle of the hall where King Soloman welcomed Queen Sheba. The queen placed the two garlands in the middle of the hall on a stand. The
couriers and others present there were very confused. They could not understand why the queen
had brought two garlands of roses which were identical. They eagerly waited for the revelation (উদ্ঘাটন) of the intention (উদ্দেশ্য) of the queen. Queen Sheba honoured King Solomon and asked
him most respectfully to choose the original garland of roses. Everyone was taken aback because it was beyond one's imagination (কল্পনা) to recognize that one of the garlands was false. Even King Solomon, whose wisdom was unquestionable (প্রশ্নাতীত), at first felt uneasy to recognize the
garland of original roses.

King Solomon looked at the garlands for a while. Then he asked the servants to open the
windows of the hall. At once, the bees flew in from the garden. They kept buzzing around the two garlands. Finally the bees sat on the original garland of roses. King Solomon smiled at once and pointed out the garland of real roses. Queen Sheba could not help admiring King Solomon.

রাজা সলোমন তার প্রজ্ঞার জন্য বিখ্যাত ছিলেন। তখন তিনি সর্বশ্রেষ্ঠ জ্ঞানী রাজাদের একজন হিসেবে বিবেচিত হন। তার রাজত্ব তার বিচক্ষণ বিচার এবং বিশ্ব এবং এর জনগণের প্রতি বিজ্ঞ দৃষ্টিভঙ্গি দ্বারা চিহ্নিত করা হয়েছিল। সমগ্র রাজ্যটি এমন একজন মহান সম্রাটের আশীর্বাদপুষ্ট ছিল। তার রাজ্যে জনগণ সুখী ছিল। রাজা সলোমনের কথা জানতে পারলেন রানী শেবা। তিনি শুধু সুন্দরীই ছিলেন না, একজন বুদ্ধিমান মহিলাও ছিলেন। তিনি রাজা সলোমনের প্রজ্ঞা পরীক্ষা করার জন্য অনেক বেশি কৌতূহলী ছিলেন।
একদিন রাণী শেবা রাজা সলোমনের প্রাসাদে এলেন। সে তার সাথে দুটি সুন্দর গোলাপের মালা বহন করেছিল। তিনি রাজা সলোমনকে মনোরম উপহার হিসাবে মালা দিতে চেয়েছিলেন। রাজা সলোমন রানী শেবাকে স্বাগত জানালেন। এটি একটি বড় হল যেখানে রাজা সলোমন রানী শেবাকে স্বাগত জানাতেন। রানি হলের মাঝখানে দুটি মালা রেখেছিলেন যেখানে রাজা সোলেমান রাণী শেবাকে স্বাগত জানালেন। রাণী দুটি মালা হলের মাঝখানে একটি স্ট্যান্ডে রাখলেন। সেখানে উপস্থিত কুরিয়ার ও অন্যান্যরা খুবই বিভ্রান্ত হয়ে পড়েন। তারা বুঝতে পারল না কেন রানি একই রকম গোলাপের মালা দুটি নিয়ে এসেছেন। তারা অধীর আগ্রহে রাণীর অভিপ্রায় প্রকাশের জন্য অপেক্ষা করতে লাগল। রানী শেবা রাজা সলোমনকে সম্মানিত করেছিলেন এবং তাকে সবচেয়ে শ্রদ্ধার সাথে গোলাপের আসল মালা বেছে নিতে বলেছিলেন। সবাই হতবাক হয়ে গেল কারণ মালা যে একটা মিথ্যে ছিল তা চিনতে পারাটা কল্পনার বাইরে ছিল। এমনকি রাজা সলোমন, যার জ্ঞান প্রশ্নাতীত ছিল, প্রথমে আসল গোলাপের মালা চিনতে অস্বস্তি বোধ করেছিলেন।
রাজা সলোমন কিছুক্ষণ মালাগুলোর দিকে তাকিয়ে রইলেন। তারপর তিনি কর্মচারীদের হলের জানালা খুলতে বললেন। সাথে সাথে বাগান থেকে মৌমাছিরা উড়ে এলো। তারা দুটি মালা ঘিরে গুঞ্জন করতে থাকে। অবশেষে মৌমাছিরা গোলাপের আসল মালায় বসল। রাজা সলোমন সাথে সাথে হেসে আসল গোলাপের মালা দেখিয়ে দিলেন। রানী শেবা রাজা সলোমনের প্রশংসা করতে পারেনি।
